INTERPRETATION_ART

This mulit-layered art project depicts both an reflexive representation of natural elements combined with a personal performance experimentation.

Inspired during a stay in India, the beauty of sea shells invoke a deep desire to show their diversity of textures and forms, as well as richness of colours in a series of oil paintings.

What followed was a multidisciplinary process, in which the actual drawing became a performance in itself, as it was done over the course of 7 days in complete silence and isolation. The chosen environment helped me to get in a deep level of connection with the shells and focus to display the unique interpretation.

Besides being exhibited in multiple cities, the whole process was documentated in video form by Katerina Koshel.
